Role description

Job summary

To support the Deputy Clinical Care Manager with the day-to-day management of the Business Intelligence team, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and overall performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.

The Business Intelligence Team plays a key role in supporting the PCN to maximise income and achieve its Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and Investment and Impact Fund (IIF) targets. You will be supporting a team of Care Coordinators in organising and monitoring long-term condition reviews, providing administrative support to the Frailty Team, and contributing to the effective delivery of wider PCN services and initiatives.

The Clinical Care Team Leader will focus on the day-to-day operability of the practice, championing ED&I, SHEF, Quality & CI, Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Learning and Development and promoting a positive working environment.

Job responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

The following are the core responsibilities of the Clinical Care Team Leader. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Business intelligence team.
  • To provide overall support inclusive of all teams on the designated site.
  • Identify training needs and arrange training programmes for members of the Business Intelligence team.
  • Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patients needs
  • Ensure staff Reviews and Appraisals are conducted in a timely manner
  • Ensure Return to work interviews are conducted in line with the absence management policy, supporting Deputy Clinical Care Manger with completing Absence reviews.
  • Carefully apply Practice policies, standards and guidanc
  • Participate in audits and project work when require
  • To provide a project management role to the practice as and when required
  • Deal with patient complaints, only escalating where necessary
  • Deal with IT issues as they arise, seeking assistance with more complex issues as appropriate
  • Arrange team meetings as required and ensure accurate recording and dissemination of minutes
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities, and making suggestions on ways to develop and improve performance

Secondary Responsibilities:

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Operations Team Leader may be requested to:

  • Support reception and administration staff, providing cover during staff absences
  • Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota if required
  • Assist the teams with their duties if required
