We are currently recruiting for a talented and passionate Chef to join our team based at Woolwich Barracks , supporting catering operations across Woolwich and other surrounding sites. What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in line with menu specifications
Ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards
Supporting daily kitchen operations across Woolwich Barracks and other sites as required
Maintaining full knowledge of menu items and allergen information
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and stock rotation procedures
Receiving and storing deliveries in accordance with food safety requirements
Monitoring food quality and minimising waste
Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
Supporting and working collaboratively with the wider catering team
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen
What we're looking for
Previous experience working as a Chef, Commis Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role
Passion for food and delivering excellent customer experiences
Good knowledge of food safety, allergen management, and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach to working across multiple sites when required
Relevant food hygiene qualifications are desirable
UK residency for the past 3 years & ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks
