Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team in York, YO1 4DH . This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to join a professional catering operation, delivering exceptional food across daily dining services and hospitality events.

As a Chef, you'll be a key member of our kitchen team, playing an important role in delivering great food and great customer experiences every day.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and cooking dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services

Providing silver service-level catering for events and functions

Following recipe cards and maintaining excellent food safety standards

Supporting stock control procedures and placing food orders

Maintaining accurate kitchen records and documentation

Monitoring equipment temperatures and ensuring compliance with food safety procedures

Assisting with daily and weekly deep cleaning schedules

Coaching and supporting new starters as they develop their skills

Collaborating with the wider kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and service.

What We're Looking For

Relevant culinary qualifications (NVQ Level 1 and Level 2, or equivalent)

A confident team player with effective communication skills

Flexible and proactive approach to work

Passion for food and delivering high-quality meals

Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment

Innovative mindset and willingness to contribute ideas

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Additional Requirements

Must be able to pass security vetting and DBS checks

Must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years

Must have the legal right to work in the UK
