As a Catering Assistant, you will support the Chef Manager and wider catering team
in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to ensure pupils receive an excellent
dining experience.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the Chef Manager and fellow Catering Assistants with daily
kitchen operations
• Assisting with the preparation of food and ingredients
• Serving meals to primary school children in a friendly and professional
manner
• Ensuring food is presented and served to a high standard
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen housekeeping duties
• Following food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures at all
times
• Supporting stock rotation and food storage procedures
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors

• Previous catering or food service experience would be beneficial but is not
essential, as full training will be provided
