Role description

Wavenet is a managed services provider offering cybersecurity, communications, and connectivity that grows with our customers’ businesses – no matter what the future holds.

Since 2000, we’ve been keeping businesses connected.

At Wavenet, we don’t just provide solutions for today but for tomorrow, too. We’re always thinking ahead of the technology curve, so our customers feel confident that when they work with us, we’re striving to make their business future-proof.

Customer success is our success. We go the extra mile in providing superior service quality and unparalleled customer experience, becoming an extension of your business, and always delivering on our promise to make their business brilliant.

Role overview

The Business Support Executive is central to how Wavenet looks after its customers. Working hand in hand with the Account Management team, the role is about building relationships, understanding customer challenges and taking ownership of customer interactions from start to finish.

It's a hands-on, customer-facing role with real breadth — spanning customer engagement, quotations, customer queries, service coordination and commercial account development. As the lynchpin between the customer and the Account Manager, you'll keep the customer experience high and free up Account Managers to focus on strategic work — building deep expertise and a genuine reputation as a trusted go-to for your customers along the way.

What you'll be doing

General sales administration — creating and managing quotations, progressing orders and updating deals in our CRM

Building positive relationships with your Account Managers and customers through proactive contact by phone, email and Teams

Attending customer review calls and assisting with follow-up actions

Acting as an extension of the account relationship, giving customers a consistent, professional experience

Working with suppliers and vendors, and handling bids and deal registrations

Expediting orders and customer queries to resolution, working alongside other Wavenet teams and our suppliers

Owning straightforward quote requests end to end, keeping the customer updated throughout

Identifying upsell opportunities and white space, offering alternative solutions and handing off to Sales Specialists as needed

Providing out-of-office cover for Account Managers

What great looks like

You understand the deal and the customer, not just the paperwork

You make Account Managers more strategic by working closely with them and communicating regularly

You own queries and requests and see them through to resolution

You manage multiple requests and queries for multiple customers accurately, even under pressure

You're proactive with updates to customers and Account Managers — they never have to chase you

Desired skills and experience

Experience in the IT and telecommunications market

Experience working with high-profile customers in a fast-paced environment

Experience dealing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors

Strong attention to detail and good IT skills

Highly organised, able to prioritise a dynamic workload around department priorities and customer demands

Good time management, drive and ambition, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment

A customer-first mindset and a willingness to get stuck in

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with Account Managers and customers
