BANK Relationship & Sex Education (RSE) Educator
Spectrum Community Health CIC is seeking an enthusiastic and motivatedRSE Educator to join our innovative staff bank. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education, youth work, health promotion and supporting young people to thrive.
Working alongside our RSE Co-ordinator, you will deliver engaging, evidence-based RSE sessions in schools across Wakefield & Barnsley. You will:
- Deliver lessons and small-group sessions
- Provide targeted interventions
- Support young people aged 11-18 to build confidence, resilience, recognise risk and develop healthy relationships
You will help deliver programmes that:
- Reduce sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Prevent underage conceptions
- Raise awareness of substance misuse
- Improve emotional well-being
- Tackle health inequalities
Every session has the potential to positively influence a young person's future.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience working with young people
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Creativity, enthusiasm and drive
- An interest in education, youth work, public health, safeguarding or community engagement
- A flexible approach to working
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain transferable skills for careers in teaching, youth work, social work, public health and health promotion, while working within a supportive team focused on prevention and early intervention.
Working hours are generally within the school day (8.00am-3.30pm) approx
