Job summary

We are looking to recruit Patient Transport Services Care Assistant / Driver

You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients and staff receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "great people, great place".

Main duties of the job

Transportation and Care of patients, staff, goods and equipment
To drive Trust vehicles under normal road traffic conditions
Assists patients as required e.g. administers medical gasses, first aid.
To drive Trust vehicles as directed including; Advanced skills for minibus/ ambulance driving

Qualifications

Essential

Driving experience of a range of vehicles to include C1 category vehicles
3 GCSE's to include Maths and English (Grade C or above) Or equivalent qualifications or experience
Knowledge of Island topography

Desirable

Driving experience of a range of vehicles to include C1 and D1 category vehicles
First Aid at Work Level 3 QCF (or equivalent qualification)
Ambulance D1 BTEC LEVEL 2 in Ambulance Driving (or equivalent qualification)
Paediatric Basic Life support (or equivalent qualification)
Evidence of community work (this is desirable rather than essential)
Oxygen Administration(or equivalent qualification)
