Role description
At Acturis, innovation isn’t just part of our culture - it’s in our DNA .
Our story began in 2000 in the garden shed of our co‑founder, Theo Duchen , who, alongside fellow former McKinsey partner David McDonald, set out to reinvent insurance technology. What started as a bold start‑up idea has grown into a global SaaS leader trusted by the industry.
Today, over 100,000 users across 40+ countries rely on the Acturis platform. By working closely with brokers, insurers, and MGAs, we continue to shape the market and drive new standards across both personal and commercial lines.
Acturis is proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work® 2025 and to maintain a collaborative, innovative, start‑up‑style culture, even as we scale globally. With over 90% of our hires coming from graduate backgrounds , this is a place built for early‑career talent to thrive.
Day to day you will:
Take ownership of automated testing within one of our Integration development squads, shaping a more cohesive testing framework and strategy that reduces manual testing effort and improves confidence across a complex integration platform.
Work as an embedded member of a development squad, partnering closely with feature developers to design and implement automated testing support across unit, integration and API layers, and integrating quality into the software development lifecycle.
Act as the team's quality engineering expert, influencing how software is designed and built, improving testability, and driving a culture where quality is owned by the whole team rather than tested at the end.
We offer structured development , clear progression , and genuine ownership — whether that means leading projects, shaping strategy, or mentoring others. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where strong performers progress quickly.
You can expect:
A transparent progression structure, regular feedback, and annual performance reviews.
Opportunities to lead cross‑functional projects, influence product direction, and support the growth of junior team members.
Comprehensive onboarding, ongoing professional development, and access to industry‑recognised training.
