Job summary
As part of the Dorset Musculoskeletal Service,you will play a key part in keeping services running smoothly by supporting a busy administrative and reception function. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping with enquiries, managing appointments, and providing a friendly, professional service. You will handle records, referrals, and correspondence with accuracy, ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times.
You will also use a range of IT systems to maintain patient information, support clinic operations, and manage day-to-day tasks. Alongside this, you'll help maintain a safe and well-organised environment, monitor resources, and support feedback processes.

Main duties of the job
Based at Weymouth Community Hospital, you will be part of a team delivering a high-quality, efficient service to patients and carers.
- Support a specialist outpatient service
- Work alongside clinicians across MSK, Physiotherapy, and ENT
- Liaise with referrers and diagnostic services.
- Play a key role in managing electronic medical records and supporting the smooth running of clinics
- Provide a welcoming, professional point of contact, helping ensure a positive experience for everyone using the service.
